Our Work
Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Sudan, IOM provides a comprehensive response to the humanitarian needs of migrants, internally displaced persons, returnees and host communities.

IOM Sudan has provided lifesaving Primary Health care (PHC) assistance to vulnerable populations throughout the Darfur region, in full coordination with the Ministry of Health, WHO and UNICEF. Sustainability of quality health care was also improved in the process through a number of activities which included maintainance and critical repairs of health facilities, capacity building for health workers, health promotion and community mobilization.
