Improving the Lives of Thousands in North and South Abyei
With generous funding from the United Nations Interim Security Forces for Abyei- Quick Impact Projects 2015-16; IOM Sudan supported the construction of 3 grinding mills reaching 8,000 community members in Diffra, Makines and Al Asker, North of Abyei.
As well as the construction of a vegetable farm and fencing in Diffra, North of Abyei; improving the lives of approximately 100 households (all headed by women); and the construction of 6 new hand pumps in North and South Abyei giving access to safe drinking water to almost 4, 500 community members.
