Infant and Young Child Feeding Training West Darfur
IOM Sudan completes a 3 week training for 110 caregivers and community health workers on Infant and Young Child Feeding Practices from different localities in El Geneina, West Darfur
For the past 3 weeks, IOM in close coordination with the State Ministry of Health and generous funding from the Government of Canada, has been training locality female caregivers and community health workers on Infant and Young Feeding practices in order to continue improving the nutritional status of children under 5 years and reduce the morbidity and mortality caused by malnutrition in West Darfur.
The graduation ceremony on August 8th was attended by the State Minister of Health, Mr. Tijani Eltahir Krashwl, the Beida locality Commissioner and a representative from the State Parliament.
